From helping the homeless learn kitchen skills to connecting people through cookery, our very on chef trainer Micheal Davies speaks about why they're on a mission to educate and inspire!
Light at the end of the tunnel…
Michael Davies is the chef trainer for Hotel School.
‘Teaching people to cook and eat properly can transform their lives. Many of our students at Hotel School are vulnerable and have struggled with various problems. They arrive with little or no education about cooking and fresh food so we begin by teaching them small steps. Even something as simple as eating breakfast every day or reaching for fruit instead of candy can make them less likely to have mood swings, or even be more sociable, and provide them with more stable energy through a demanding day. These small rewards can even reinforce forming other new healthy habits. It’s an holistic approach to boost their health and wellbeing.'
